¿Por qué esto no funciona?

No creo que el problema esté en el código que estás mostrando. Creé una aplicación de consola a partir de lo que pusiste arriba y arrojó lo que había en la base de datos. Aquí está la totalidad de la aplicación:

¿Hay algo más que esté agregando a la consulta, o tal vez de alguna manera esté creando un tipo anónimo?
