importar archivo csv desde un sitio FTP externo

Pensé que solo publicaría el código que resolvió mi problema; descarga un archivo csv desde un sitio FTP externo a mi servidor local. Luego importa el archivo csv a mi tabla de base de datos mysql local. Una vez importado, el archivo en el servidor ftp se elimina. Programo este trabajo en cpanel con cronjob.

No puedo atribuirme el mérito del script, acabo de modificar un script que se encuentra en otro sitio. Estoy seguro de que hay mejores formas de hacer esto con alguna comprobación de errores. Sin embargo, esto es lo mejor que pude hacer con mis habilidades limitadas.
