¿Qué métodos se pueden usar para administrar diferentes versiones de bases de datos preexistentes?

En resumen, una forma sería copiar el nuevo archivo de activos en la ubicación adecuada, manteniendo una copia del archivo de la base de datos original, luego puede aplicar las actualizaciones para preservar de manera efectiva los datos del usuario en la base de datos recién copiada. PERO solo si la aplicación se está actualizando para ese cambio específico y si existe la base de datos.

Si la base de datos no existe, se debe realizar la copia estándar del archivo de activos.

Este es un ejemplo de cómo se podría hacer esto.

Este ejemplo se basa en gran medida en las rutinas que permiten la gestión y algunas interrogaciones del archivo en la carpeta de activos y/o el archivo de la base de datos en sí.

Una clase llamada DBAssetHandler.java satisface lo anterior (así como la capacidad de extraer la versión_usuario, también conocida como la versión de la base de datos cuando se usa SQLiteOpenHelper).

Los archivos de activos, hay dos:-

  • pev1.db - la base de datos preexistente original como se describe arriba
