¿Cómo realizar conteos en una tabla jerárquica de Oracle basada en Parent Link?

Para seleccionar los datos prueba esto:

En un conjunto de prueba de 39000 registros, un Intel Core i5 con Oracle 11.2 (y caché de búfer vaciado) tardó aproximadamente 0,15 segundos en calcular esto. Espero que sea lo suficientemente rápido para satisfacer sus necesidades.

Para actualizar la tabla de destino con estos datos, recorre el SELECT anterior y actualice sus link_counts tabla iterativamente, o simplemente use el MERGE declaración:

El MERGE asume que el GROUP_ID es una clave principal/única en link_counts mesa. La definición real de los tech_values tabla en la pregunta original apoya esta suposición.
