Creo que se debió a una confusión con FOR EACH ROW declaración.
Es solo para "registros coincidentes para la declaración emitida antes de que se invoque el disparador. "

Si existe N número de registros en una tabla y coincide con registros para where id=x ,
asumiendo x provoca un resultado de menos de N registros, diga N-5 , luego
FOR EACH ROW provoca un bucle para N-5 veces solamente.

ACTUALIZAR :
Una prueba de muestra ejecutada en las filas afectadas debido a FOR EACH ROW declaración se muestra a continuación.
